Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the Nuremberg Office for Vocational Schools aims to strengthen the international and European orientation of vocational education. The Erasmus+ team, Christina Degering and Natascha Sponsel, supports vocational schools in organizing mobility measures for trainees and teachers, as well as in developing projects to promote personal, intercultural, professional, and linguistic skills.
During the official Europass award ceremony, trainees received their Europass certificates after successfully completing a stay abroad – for example, in the form of an internship, language course, or work placement at a partner school or company. The Europass documents the skills acquired abroad and makes them visible throughout Europe.
The network “Internationalization of Education in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region” was represented by Maximilian Deinlein, who gave a short presentation addressing the opportunities, advantages, but also possible challenges of stays abroad in vocational education and encouraging the participants to use international learning and professional experiences.
