Visiting Scholar Zhu Jieyao under the program “German Chancellor Fellowship” by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

Zhu Jieyao is a visiting scholar of the Chair of Diversity Education and International Educational Research (FAU) under the program “German Chancellor Fellowship” by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from October 2021 to September 2022.

Zhu Jieyao holds a B.A. in German Literature and a M.L. in International Politics from Renmin University of China. She is also qualified with Teaching Certification (English, High school) in China. Zhu Jieyao has been dedicating herself to education, youth work and international cooperation. She participated in the research project “Mechanism of Sino-German People-to-People Exchange” sponsored by Ministry of Education of P.R. China. During her past professional career, she has accumulated practical experiences in youth work, especially in the field of political education and social participation, as an officer at Youth League of China, Committee of Beijing, Chaoyang.

With her project “More Participation of Children and Young People”, Zhu Jieyao will compare civic education between Germany and China, especially its meaning for international understanding under the background of the pandemic. She will learn more about international education and build connections with local actors with the support of the Chair.
